What are you playing right now?
What are your CURRENT favorite games that you play? They can be anything from a first person shooter to a turn based strategy. What absorbs your interest most at this moment?
I'm trying to get ideas for another game purchase. They don't have to be Matrix games. It's been awhile since I purchased anything that has kept me glued to the screen for more than a month. So I'm looking for something to absorb me for awhile.

RE: What are you playing right now?
It's been a while since I purchased a brand new game. At the moment, I'm playing a slew of older titles including:
Conquest of the Aegean
Empire: Total War
Napoleon: Total War
GTA IV
Command and Conquer 3 and 4
Assassin's Creed
Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers
Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box
Dragon Age Origins: Awakening
I recently purchased Alpha Protocol, but ended up uninstalling it again very quickly. Major disappointment.

"Field of Glory". A mixed bag of pros and cons but it's a lot of fun to play. The negative aspects of the game design don't override the good. (It's basically a miniatures game system converted to hex based computer game.) It has a very smooth user interface and plays quickly. A very weak AI but is still fun to play against to learn and test out tactics. Playing against another human is extremely fun. Also has incredible design support and a very active forum on the Slitherine site. The publisher listens to players complaints and suggestions and issues upgrades quite often. And it's also supported by Matrix.

Right now I´m playing, more or less equally, the following games:
Mount & Blade
Mass Effect
Transport Giant
East India Company
X-COM UFO Defense
The Ur-Quan Masters
Except maybe for Transport Giant, I´d recommend any of these, if you´re into the respective genres.

Admiral's Edition about 95% of my gaming time and trying to get a handle on Battles From The Bulge the other 5%.
I look for BFTB to get more time in the fututre when I'm comfortable with everything.

RE: What are you playing right now?
Lately, I'm playing mainly Sean O'Connor's Firefight. Mainly because it has pretty decent difficulty level. The AI is well integrated with mechanics (it plays by the rules and some important stuff like bounding overwatch movement and firing at firing at sources of enemy fire is handled by the Squad AI) and the random scenarios and random strength proportion provide good and varied fun. Also, there are many sides and theatres, including rare stuff like China and France.
Also, artillery is pretty good at disrupting player's plans.
The downside is that tank combat is horribly simplified, infantry weapons are generic and some other stuff is simplified. Still it works pretty well as a single-player game.
I'm modding it now. I usually play it when I work, which is another reason why I play it the most.
Operation Flashpoint. I have installed a Command Engine mod which allows to command multiple squads/platoons/companies. It's very interesting to play a tactical wargame from FPP perspective. I often have to stay close to combat to know what exactly is going on.
Modding is fun, especially when one can take a realistic tactical combat mod and then combine it with a Wh40k mod XD .
I play it much less than Firefight, though. Due to it's nature I can't play it when I work and when I'm browsing the internets.
Armored Brigade - I like it - it's like Steel Panthers but in continuous time. It has great system of notifying the player about stuff and has stuff like colour-coded heigh map, los tool, etc.
I pray it less often lately because I got bored with 1987. The author is planning to implement moddability as the next feature, though. Also, it's freeware.

RE: What are you playing right now?
[:D] How in the world can someone be currently playing 1/2 dozen games or more? All of them in a day-or spread throughout the week? 2 different games nearly everyday? That is impressive-I guess.[;)]
I can handle two different games ongoing. Those two are currently, and have been for a while;
1. WW1, Single play and horsing around trying to get an MP game going.
2. CoG EE- 2 games PBEM-although one looks to be dying.
When CoG EE is finished (perhaps soon) I will be moving on (or back) to FoF-a game I bought long ago but did not have time to play. It looks like a good one for PBEM. However, if I can get some 4X WW1 games going, FoF will have to be pushed back again.
I may retire in 8 years and then perhaps I can do 3 games on a daily basis. Maybe I will have time then for Panzer Campaigns-Kharkov.

RE: What are you playing right now?
I play a lot of games.
Squad Battles (I have PBEMs going on for Soviet-Afghan War, Arab-Israeli Wars)
Campaign Series (All time fave, some PBEMs too)
WITP AE (Guadalcanal PBEM as Japan, we just had the first carrier battle (I lost CV and CVL, Wasp is reported to have been sunk).
HOI2 (Going to uninstall this soon, it just never catches my fancy after a few hours of play).
Storm over the Pacific (Shiny new game. Island invasion bug(?) is a show-stopper. Waiting for patch).
PacWar (Hiatus)
CC: COI (Reinstalled. It's still fun!)
Long list eh? I won't list my iPhone games...
