don't understand this supply situation

In this screenshot, I have Japanese units in Malaya which are out of supply - they are only drawing 1 supply from the closest Siamese city, which has a supply rating of 30(10).

I set up a convoy from Osaka to Bangkok, but it is never executed, because the convoy system says that Bangkokk already has 25 supply.

I don't understand why Bangkok is said to have 25 supply. It is a Main Supply Source for Siamese units, at a level of 30. Is that a level supply for Japanese of 25?

Please re-read the manual. Supply is based off action Points.

So if you count the number of action points used up you willl get a better understanding.

Since Bankok is already a supply source at 30, you can not supply anymore.

Your troop are supplied by the largest source. When landing, they take the supply with them from where they came. Then the next turn they look for the largest supply source. If it is still from the shipping orgin, they draw from that. Every turn it gets reduced until finally they have to draw from a local city.

In your case the draw is from Ben hat yai, not the mineral resource.

Like I said, you can see units drawing 1 to 3 supply from where they came, then the next turn the supply gets recalculated.

So those planes came from a location far awy, hence 1 to 3 supply.

I understand the part about the supply range from Ben Hat. However, I don't understand why my convoy doesn't work to Bangkok. And I don't understand why Ben Hat is judged to start with 10 supply, instead of 30, from its MSS.

In your example, Ben Hat starts with 30 - 12 = 18. In my example Ben Hat starts with 10 - whatever = 1.

Did this get resolved? I am thinking that when GW ended the turn, everything was okay? Is that what happened?

It is working correctly. If you send a convoy to Ben Hat, you are supplying your Ally Siam.
Your portion of that supply is 10.
Use your fleet.

GW is trying to by pass the system and not use his fleet for supply.

Actually, if I recall, once Siam came into the game, my beachhead supply stopped, and I immediately started drawing upon Ben Hat. That was a shock to me, and a dismay, as supply from Ben Hat was less.

Well all I see is a submarine which doesn't supply.

The other fleet is in port.
