Suggestion: single hex island options

The creators of WW2: Time of Wrath move to the Pacific theater with Storm over the Pacific. Depicting the epic conflict between Japan and the United States, players choose from 26 available countries with historically accurate orders of battle including land, sea and air units and leaders. Concentrate on directing one country or command several to lead an alliance of nations. Engage in battle over the vast Pacific with 16 unit types modelled with an intuitive supply system and more.

There were only 2 companies of Raiders on Midway - not the whole battalion - but you are right they would have fought like tigers of the Japanese had managed to land.

Im tired of checking hundreds of stacked units
I like to focus on tactics, not management

I don't like stacking of land units, but air and ground should be able to stack, especially in these one-hex islands.

Maybe I´m wrong, but I dont think this can be easily done with this engine; so in meantime I will enjoy the game because on the basis of my experience with TOW I believe it can be a realistic and elegant simulation, partly because his modding possibilities.

Oh well. I guess we just have to live with it.
At least amphibious invasion is now more flexible after the Beta patch.
