Good lord this is complicated. I just downloaded it as well. I'm really not very fond of the interface, but I suppose I'll get used to it. At first glance though, there's a lot here for 17 bucks.

This sounds kinda like PC-OWS, excepting the content is even thinner. [:(]

You can't have a "Kharkov 43" game without Hauser and his little band of brutes (and their Tigers). [:-]

what are the specs needed to run the game decently, not just the min. requirements?

Can you build your own units like CC/CM or are you given a pre-built force like say original CC4/CC5?

I like the fact it's centered around the 6. Pz, one of the over looked hard fighters of the Ostkrieg. Not everyone was W.SS or Tigers and Panthers in the war.[:-]

Give me some StuGs and I'll burn acres of T-34s.[;)]

Is there going to be Multi-player support for the game?

Since I don't see any AA, I take it air-attack is undefendable?

Mostly a pre-built force, as far as I can tell. You do have some control over which replacements go where.

I do too. I'm no expert on the Eastern front -- I'm more of a Pacific theater guy -- but I'm finding plenty to enjoy in Achtung Panzer. I especially like the scale of the game. The landscape feels *big*, as it should. By that, I mean that there is a relatively low "counter density" on much of the map at any given time, and you can't blanket every pixel with a friendly unit. At the same time, there can also be concentrated areas of conflict, say around objectives. In my most recent game, I had a half hour of quiet maneuver in the dark over empty fields and roads, and then abruptly all hell broke loose as the Russians tried to take a strategic house -- a stone church. It was pretty cool.

In another game, one of my tanks stumbled across a couple Russian tanks in the dead of night, and we had a very fun gun duel. I won, though I was helped by one of my infantry squads tossing stuff at the enemies. Here's a (shrunken) screenshot to give you the idea. The graphics look better uncompressed.

It is a great game.. I need to play it more.. I don't like it as much on my laptop as my Gaming Computer (down cellar), cause that one has better graphics.. so better immersion.. LOL.. sometimes I need to spend more time down cellar.. or get my gaming computer moved upstairs!

Hey Guys,  Came across this game and I have a lot of the cmbb type of games from Battlefront.  The game is like 6 bucks right now on gamers gate.  I have the demo but I was wondering if a manual for the tutorial is around?  I might just buy the game.  any suggestions?

Some have issues with the UI but there isn't really much to it and I think thats the problem they probably think there is more to it.

Still well worth the money.

I got it for $20 but got completely frustrated with the minimal documentation and lack of a tutorial. The UI was horrid! IMHO Even if it was free I would have banished it from my HDD after the few wasted half hour sessions I gave it.

These are excellent titles but learning them can be frustrating. Well worth the effort mind.
