1.0.5.6 Engagement orders reset after one kill

If I order the World Annihilator to attack system targets, it does find a target and kills it, but once it finds a target it switches back to nearby targets. Shouldn't the engagement order stick?

Engage nearby targets is a new thing at 1.056. you can change this with the buttom right of the ">". Both pics got "Engage nearby targets" did you change that or just order it to engage a target by yourself ?

BTW "nearby targets" got a pretty big range.

I haven't seen an option for it, so I guess it's set to nearby targets. I'll have a look when I fire up the game the next time.

Edit: Yes, I could set the marching orders for my entire empire through the options menu, thanks for the tip, Erik.
