March '43 -- US Air Group re-orgs

Post by minnowguy »

Sorry for the repeat question -- I know this has come up before but I can't find it ....

It is 26 Feb 1943. I just withdrew all my VS squadrons (and I must say that the SBD-3 pool looks a lot better [:)] ).

IIRC, I'm supposed to get more fighters in place of the DBs. Do the VF groups resize or do I get more VF groups? Don't see any new VF groups in the reinforcement queue?

If resize, do I need to do anything to let this happen? Toggle "No resize allowed" to "Resize to fit ship"?

At that time, you should get 36F, 36DB & 18TB except Wasp. All that happens when the VS groups disappear is that the DB increase from 18 to 36 so your pools will go back down to fill them out. Later on in the war in 44 or 45 the DB will size down & you get the VFB units but you'll have 40 F (I think) from the Jan44 resize. I'm just ahead of you in my game
