Ok, if you can help me out here...

Modern War I and II are 2 separate games correct? Much like Campaign Series is one game combining the 3 campaigns/fronts/original TS games.

So with MWI you'd have within that, Vietnam as one game, Middle East as another much like East Front and West Front?

Yes, Modern Wars I and Modern Wars II will be two separate installations.

Modern Wars I will include two games -- Vietnam and Middle East (like East Front and West Front)

Modern Wars II will include three games (planned) -- NATO vs Warsaw Pact, Korea and Africa

Jason how close are we to release of Volume 1? What still needs to be finished?

I am writing the manual at the moment. It's a HUGE, HUGE task in itself.

Apart from that,

... I have a few scenarios left to build and test for the Middle East that deal with Jerusalem in 1948 and 1967.

... another linked campaign for the Middle East to build and test.

... a few scenarios to build and test dealing with the First Indochina War for Vietnam.

... a linked campaign for Vietnam to build and test.

... a few video tutorials and bootcamp scenarios (with write-ups).

... overall functionallity test.

That's it.

When those are complete, the game will be ready for release as the 1.00 version. As I have mentioned many times before, this will be a living game, so will be UPDATED with additional units, organizations, campaigns, scenarios and features as time goes forth - same as we are doing with the Matrix Campaign Series.

Hope that helps
Jason Petho

Thanks for the update...

Damn I don't even make games I know this game isn't getting released soon...building and testing 2 linked campaigns could take awhile by itself....not to mention everything else...Oh well...argh...then writing bootcamps, building and testing more scenarios on top of that while writing a manual...man...

I'm still hoping to have it ready and released by September-October, assuming the time I am spending will remain constant.

Actually, depending on the storyline you create, they don't have to be too bad. The longest part is building the maps and testing it. If you plan out a storyline in detail, the rest comes together pretty quickly.

As above, I have plans for the scenarios, so they will come together pretty quickly... I have been researching this for a long time now.

The most time consuming element is the manual.
