[n00b]How to build Contructor ships?

Post by Yskonyn »

Yeah I know, it's probably the worst question ever and I am embarassed, so please be gentle. ;)
I am currently starting a Teekan game as a mercantile guild and I am completely lost on how to build construction ships! [X(]
When I go to a construction yard and open the drop-down menu, all ship classes are shown EXCEPT the constructor class. Yet the AI has already suggested to me twice that it would be a great idea to build one! [8|]

Is there something I am missing? [&o]

You build them on planets.

Yep, right-click a planet instead of a space yard. Colony ships also go there.

Ah so you can't build them from the Construction Yard menu, then?
Thanks a lot!

Yup so if you colonize a planet in the middle of nowhere, don't forget you don't need your contructors to move over there to build mining platforms etc, just build a Constructor at the new planet [;)]

You can if you have a planet selected as the construction site.

Every planet can build Constructors and Colonization ships from the day it is colonized? That's something to remember!

Not with the new beta patch, you need 100 million in population on the planet before you can now build a colony ship.
