Chioda not Upgrading to CVl

Am I missing something ?
Chioda is refusing upgrading to CVl for a while:
a) Singers (50+ port)
b) Hong Kong (50+)
c) Shanghai (50+)
d) Hiroshima
e) Kobe
f) Yokohama


Chitose worked right away at Tokyo.

Am I missing something ?

Complexity by obscurity - my guess

Since Chiyoda and Chitose are going to monopolize the yard at Tokyo for about 300 days - ir may take some planning for upgrades of other ships ..

You do not need them in the yard to complete the conversion. Set them to pierside repair.

Any conversion that changes the class type to battleship or carrier must be done in the national home port.

Sorry Don,

Chioda and Chitose upgrade in Tokyo. Only - afaik.
Their AGs convert to current CV types.

However:
Nisshin - in my game Kobe - and Mizuho (Hong Kong) - just need the required repair ship yard size (50) to convert.
However, the float planes for the latter two get transferred to shore without conversion.

No idea, if that is different in Tokyo.

Behavior is different (Chitose versus Mizuho classes) because the one is an upgrade and the other is a conversion. They should not be different like this - but they are - I think two different people did them and didn't communicate!

Yep. Right hand did not communicate with left hand. Mizuho and Nisshin did not convert/upgrade at all irl. In the stock scenarios, they were only supposed to convert to CVL in AndyMac's Scen002. Somehow, the s02 class file data got mixed in with s01 and s06. My bad, for not paying attention.
