Using a portion of the awesome alpine Lochau/Bregenz map by Francois Dargaud the scenario is basically an end of war (May 1945) set piece type battle between Germany and the USSR. Each side has a well-defended "base" on a hill and there is a "midfield" (containing another hill). VHs are placed in these three locations, are per-turn and are extremely valuable. Forces are roughly symmetrical e.g. both have a company of heavy tanks, a company of engineers etc.
The design reflects the type of game I like to play:
High vis (and very high elevations)
No air
Limited arty (and no FOs)
No pesky recon units and/or low-value cannon fodder
Lots of monstrous AFVs
40 turns. This is in order to allow time for a decisive result, of course if stalemate ensues then players can end it earlier ...
C&C On (not optional sorry) plus all other realism settings.
I've played it against myself and it seems to work quite well but it definitely needs a real test with other people.
So if you fancy giving it a go just send me a mail at mattf@joltanytime.co.uk. I'll send you a copy of the scenario if you want to have a look at it in the editor first.
