How to proceed after the wake-up order?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

I understand.I guess I am thinking as a former infanteer,we would be in the field for 5 days at a stretch, getting maybe half hour sleep every 24 hours. If that.I guess units had a lot different sop's back in WW2 compared to the 90's.We also learned how to navigate at night, use of a compass etc.And of course we had nod's.Many times we would be ordered to attack at night,or have the "eneamy" attack us at night during exercises.

Well I recall doing likewise in the 70s, but that was invariably at the patrol level rather than the unit level. I do recall the incredible stuff ups when trying to move a whole battalion at night.
