Ok, now it's time to move. Yeah, just one month has passed, but I'm looking now for a target. Doesn't have to be the more important japanese base at the Pacific BUT it must be a place where I can began to attrit his forces. This will fix his attention to that zone ( avoiding new invasions, or mainly offensives ), train my pilots and mantain myself in an offensive perspective.

Some of the CENPAC bases looks like a good idea. With some of the coys at Sidney plus one of the several millions of BF the allied gets, I should get close enough to anything important to him. Nauru islands? Hummmmmmmm

PACIFIC:

The raid over WC is an strategic failure. The main strike force has spent a month sailing to San Francisco, and now it has to go back to Truk/Hokkaido/any port with fuel to 4 CVs and escorts. So if he wants to attack DEI, only miniKB will be there. An interesting perspective

I´m absolutely agree with this. He will need one month to return and refuell all carriers, and it´s not a nice travel if you shadow them with your "Gato" class SS. After return will need to focus on the new target and trasit to it, more time... it´s a good perspective to hold on and gain more and more time at D.E.I.

Could be a posibility that he thinking in returning to Kwjalein or Truk to strike in the south (Pago-Pago, Canton Is, Fidji or South Seas Area).

Best wishes and good luck

Well, 27th and 28th of January

 Submarine Warfare:
AK Alchiba and AK Betelgeuse sank near PH. Great mistake made by me as this type of shjips MUST be reserved to amphibious operations [:@].

xAKL Kindur sank near brisbane by RO-68.

SS Trout in troubles, trying to make home back.

China:

Another attack at Sinyang puts forts at level1. With luck, tomorrow it will be mine !!!!

Philipines:

A japanese attack against Malabalay stronghold gets 1 to 2, with 646 japanese casualties. Nice !!!. A tough nut to crack for the japanese.

Several xAKLs are trying to run to Bataan to bring supplies to the defenders....Supplis at Corregidor are 16 now..

SWPAC:

Noumea hits port 3. Now is time to put fortis to a decent level. With the upcoming arrival of the 27th Division, it should hold pretty well.

WEST COAST:

Several convoys ready to sail to several locations all over the Pacific. Soon the Americal Division will sail to Suva.

OTHERS:

I-/143rd Inf Bn plus 14th Tank Regiment destroyed a cadre of 108th RAF B.F. A nice distraction for more than 100 A.V....

Several reasignements at Java. Batavia plus Soerabaja will mantain only the Garrison minimun. The others will move to Merak and another inland base, where will form a last stand reserve.

Some reinforcements are about to arrive to Oosthaven. Now there are more than just mines to defend the zone.

224HQ RAF now at Palembang. Someone has got torpedos !!!! 223HQ moving here too, and will be placed at another place to have more torpedo airplane base choices...

30th January !!!

grrr....I'm idiot !!!  With the KB sailing back home I forgot delay one convoy to wait the retreat of the japanese ships...2 ships sanks, and the 134th USA Base Force crippled, just one xAP holds. An AVD sails to escort her (and, as it has cargo capacity, he should be ablo to carry some survivors back home !! ).

Singyang has fort to 0. Not fall cause I got just 1 to 1. One japanese army tries to arrive to the city (or trap me there). Well, we'll see... By the way: 1672 japanese casualties, incluidn 47 combat squads destroyed, plus 99 disabled... this is more than half a brigade out of combat !!!

Intel reports heavy shipping at Cam Ram Bay and Beaufort. Some units will try to do something about it...

WEST COAST

Several air attacks over San Francisco and some near harbours result at 5 xAPs sank plus one AMC Prince Robert and seven ( yep, SEVEN ) YPs... It has cost him not less than 15 torpedoes, so, at least, he will run over of them in a while.

CHINA

Foochow is now at chinese hands. My chinese troops beaten the poor defender troops (lots of chinese traitors here!! ) and now the port is mine !!!! . Muahaaahahahahha (evil laugh here. No, wait, I'm the good guy !! ). I'll continue the push through the coast. All of this is more time earned to improve my defenses....

Sinyanng falls, too !! A japanses relief army wasn't able to arrive at time, and now the city is at my sure hands. With good fortis, will be a tough nut to crack for the japanese player....

OTHERS

One flush deck DD sail into PM to disturb unload operations. Spotted a Fast TF with 3 DD and 2 AMC. The combat was solved with zero hits to both sides. What a so skillful gunners we have !!! Some heavy hitters are about to arrive to do more "interesting" damage.

At bora bora (as usual ) troops which appear are short of supplies, and load into xAKLs is a nightmare (port0). Ains.....Where will I redeploy them ? hum....

Aussie TF located...The orders are abort the attack. Those two carriers can be near...Not sure where, but, after a long thinking, I command myself go back to Sidney...

A raid over S.F. hits the shipyards. All damage is repaired almost instantly. In my email I have said the opposite, of course...

3th February, 1942

Another strike against San Francisco left the shipyards really bad... What is wrong ? Hummmm, I not very sure how game engine treat the hits agains shipyards. 1 hit=10.000 tons less to be repaired... No, it can not be....a % perhaps, but how many ?

Well, at the end, S.F. has now a "limited" capacity of 60.000 tons. Considering the REALLY important shipyard is at Mare Island (great mistake, seydlitz [;)]), no strategic losses on my side.

KB is sailing to the NNW, probably via Alelutianas, to Dutch Harbour or so...Well. There is cold, and poor land.

All over the map, a very peaceful turn: My cruisers ran to Sidney to rest, refit and sail again ASAP. My B-17s bombarded Port Moresby again, and his SS sank another xAKL. I have lost about 20 in one month, but for 1 point it worth.

2 xAKL arrived to Bataan, put 2750 supplies at the port. At the end of the day, less than 100 remained. WTF ? Grrrr... [:@][:@] Another one tried to do a run, but she ( xAKL Oriskany )) ran into a STF with CL Sendai plus DDs Isonami and Uranami, and ended sank.

The new arrived KV Westminster join a ASW TF and in the same night, sank the I-9 with 6 hits. The replay shows only two, but with heavy damage and taking water. The attack was two hexes far from Victoria. She won't get back home.

At Sinyang, the japanese army launched an attack but got 1 a 2, without even less the fortis.3123 casualties to my 2479. Excellent. My modified AV is 1687 (original is 1938). I need improve the xp of my chinese units !!

At Malasia, he is about to launch a heavy attack against Rangoon. We'll see...Indomitable is near Karachi, plus the Hermes with Fulmars. Coupled with an R, perhaps I'll have anything to said at Burma.

Just two "important" things today: Portland attacked: 14 repair shipyard hits...It hurts, but strateggically won't change my plans...

And a shock attack at Malaybalay whic gets an 1 to 1, and drop fortis to 1. However, it has been a bit costly to the japanese, so I hope it will hold, at least, for a week.

traskott if the supplies really where down to 16 I´d check the units themselves as they want to stock supplies for (I think) 2 days worth of combat operations.
If the units checked have double supplies needed and was low on supplies before then thats where your 2.7k went...

Overall a good day !!

Altough some of my SS were hit (O23 and KVI), Several japanese raids over Rangoon has ended with the following result:

12 Oscars down, 5 Sallys donw plus 11 damaged. My losses were 1 H81, 3 Hurris and one Hudson at the ground, plus some damage at the airport which will be repaired today as it's raining so no new attacks are expected.

At Seattle, 2 raids hacve left the shipyard with some damage (17 hits), and 4 Mohawks, 2 P-40B and 1 P-38 down. On the "income" side, 4 Vals downed, 25 damaged, 2 Vals downed, 5 damage, and 1 Zero downed. Not bad. Overall a good result, discounting the VP he gets for the strategic bombardment.

Several bases near Menado and Ternate taken via mini paradrops, or by troops carried at Mavis. Well. Better here than at Java or Sumatra....

K.B. has left the building !!!! Several suppli convoys are departing from WC. A troop convoy is ready at S.F. Ok, let's go to move this, boys....

No combat at all, except at China where a shock attack at Sinyang gets a 1-2 with 9200 japanese causalties....incluidin 211 combats squads destroyed !!! That hurts...Or at least I hope.

Soon I'll show my plans and objectives to the next 3/4 months....

Intel points several units targetting Dutch Harbour.. How knows...If it is taken, I'll pull back to Anchorage. No sense fighting up there...

From 9/2/1942 til 17/2/1942

Several turns with some action at specific points but no great movements....yet.

SUBMARINE WARFARE

oooh, boy. Every day I'm crying for the 80% dud rate...ains...In return, his SS are hitting some valuable targets. Nothing really important, but annoying:

BB Warspite took 1 torpedo. Minimal dmg (12 major floding) but it's disgusting: 45 days waiting to escort and free path to took the Panama channel and gets one torpedo near Los Angeles...Nice performance, baby.

CL Trenton tooks another torpedo by the I-3, escorting one huge convoy. Now at San Diego with flooding and engine dmg, another escort out of the line...

SS Shark blow up the PB Santus Maru. Well not the best of the targets but xp after all.

xAP Poelamau sank by I-8. Well, sending xAPs unescorted, even at WC, is risky...

14th was a bloody day: PG Swan, xAKL Soochow and xAK Am.Pres sank by RO-68, I-157 and 1-26, respectively sp?).

15/2 even better I-160 sank xAKL Susana, RO-64 at xAKL Mexican and (hurrah!! [8|]) SS Searaven at xAk Kaiko Maru ( 1 torpedo, I think she sank later).

Short range SS are now at critical zones like NE of Australia, and Java. Long range SS are at mining missions (because Mk.10 mine is at this moment the only mine device I can lay) and patroling near Japan. I'm spending my PP putting better skippers at the SS. I hope it worth!! I'm currently at less than 200 P.P. Awful when u want to put the marines in action..

GROUND WARFARE

At China, My troops hold Foochow and are playing with two japanese divisiones, which rejected me from Pucheng, but I retook it with another corps. A very fluid situation...

At D.E.I., at last, a bit of action: PARADROP LANDING AT BALIKPAPAN: First and Second Raiding Regimient, tried to took Balikpapan by surprise, but it's 25AV were (logically) unable to push out well digged troops (forti3). I'm currently attacking the remmants, to get xp for my troops.

Rangoon is about to fall !! The 33th Division made a shock attack which down 3 levels of forti in just one attack. It's only matter of time. I'll retreat to Mandalay. Some guerrilla bons have began to act: Uttaradit is now allied [:D].

NAVAL/AMPHIBIOUS WARFARE

Lot of convoys go in and out of D.E.I., with supplies, fuel, resuorces....a secret allied base is set in a tiny island to hold opperations...Major assets of R.N. at the zone. Some LCU have arrive from india, so overall my situation has improved a bit.

The battle of Singapore is about to began: 1100 AV and 71k supplies on hand.

Bataan holds!! But now, facing 2600 AV with merely 1500AV, this can be a bit ugly. My xAKLs flee "from enemy air threat" like goose..ains...

AIR WARFARE

My B-17s from Charter Towers pummel one day yes and the other yes too the PM airfield...Some Zeros tried to intercept them. 1:1 ratio achieved...not bad...

Several units are about to withdraw. I should put them at good use. Dunno...

SEA WARFARE

Some strange search signals near Dutch Harbour... Hummm, an small raiding force? We'll see...

SS SARGO puts a torpedo at xAK GOSEI MARU near Shanghai. On fires. Heavy Damage.

SS PERMIT discover a tanker convoy at 104,82, near Iwo Jima, more SS will be send to this zone.

xAKL YAT SHING sang near Bataan. I've lost about 5 xAKLs trying bring supplies at Bataan. Bad luck.

SS I-24 spotted near Melbourne. A bit late. Several huge convoys have unloaded vital supplies and fuel to OZ. ASW TF will be there for a while.

GROUND WARFARE

RANGOON falls !!! [:(] . I must recognize the 33rd has done an amazing performance. Well. End of China supplies... Besides the 103 RN BF surrender, with an almost full TOE. Damn !!! I HATE loss LCUs...

At BALIKPAPAN, the last 200 japanese attackers where killed by two KNIL regiments.

AIR WARFARE

Grrr...I forgot put dnw an P-40 sqn of rookies and got 7 downed. It was one of the ABDA sqns...I've ordered withdrawal of all of them....They are useless at the front of any japanese fighter. Besides, early withdraw gives me some nice political points which I'll use to release another marine regiment.

/////////////////////////////INCOMING OPERATIONS////////////////////////////////////////////////

a) OPERATION BROWN

Objetive: Tabitouea.

I'm putting here some expendable LCUs to increase fortis, and later, create a forward base from where push pressure at CENPAC. Tarawa is near !!!

b) OPERATION MASKIROVA

Objetive: Disrupt offensive opperations at Central China.

I'm engaging several japanese armies at Sinyang (3.000 AV), Hankow (about 2.000), and "playing" at Foochow. Meanwhile, 1200 AV are prepping to Wuchang and currently about to arrive to Changsha. With some reinforcements from the Changsha garrison (forti5 helps) I'll go to Wuchang, menacing a bulge at Hankow, as Sinyang is mine too..We'll see...

AP President Hayes sank by I-15. The SS senaked through ASW escort and put two torps at the poor AP.

Carrier raid near perth !!! Airplanes reported from CV Akagi SSE of Perh, sank one AM and one TK. Several convoy troops re-directed to avoid enemy attack.

At China... :
