1st USMC Div

Is there an event that will activate this Division just like the 2nd USMC Div?

No, not yet, but I don't see a problem to add it for next patch.

Actually it was a ragged tagged combination of units from all over the Pacific.

All they had at the start was an Artillery BN, which is embedded in this game.

The on a ship, they decided to create a division and sent several ragged tagged units from around the world to form the unit.

In my eye's it really not justifed in the game since it used exsisting units.

If you want it, just rename a unit or build it.

AFAIK at the beginning of the war, 1st USMC Div was stationing in N Carolina with 9k combatants and in March 1942 some of it's components were transported to Samoa.

It doesn't cost us much but it might give some more flavor for the game.

I see. I was hoping there's an event like the 2nd USMC Div.  I'm now in Mid 1942.
Thought of creating an AAR based on the 1st USMC Div though I cannot create one since I want them to be Level 2 Infantry like the 2nd but I can only build Level 1 at the moment.

Have Admiral King rename the unit to the 1st, and then start your AAR.

Lol.  I guess I'll just pick a generic level 1 US Army corps for my AAR. Divisions are undeprowered when fighting the Japanese early in the war. Should be interesting.

From elsewhere: "The 1st Marine Division was activated on 1 February 1941. At the time the 1st Marine Regiment was en route to New Zealand, the 5th Marine Regiment was already in New Zealand, the 7th Marine Regiment was in British Samoa, the 1st Raider Battalion was in New Caledonia, the 3rd Defense Battalion was in Pearl Harbor, and the 11th Marine Regiment (the division artillery) was en route to the South Pacific."

Just remember the 1st Raiders were NOT part of the 1st Division. They worked alongside them on the Canal but while they lasted the Raiders (eventually 4 battalions) were separate units unto themselves and not part of any division.

Did Rommel really say that, Steely? lol
How does this game compare to "Strategic Command WWII Pacific Theater" btw?
Anxiously awaiting the demo.
