Post by Tiger88_slith »

Jason - woke up this morning - turned on the pc - started up EF and got this error code 486 - There is an error running this application - please contact matrix games.

Do you know what this is (or anyone else) or where to point me to fix this?

Thanks much!

It's a game password issue.

You might have to renistall the 1.04 UPDATE.

When my computer crashed, and after it was fixed, I tried to run CS and got the same message. When I reinstalled everything (including the patch 1.04), it ran fine.

It's been a while since I played, but I'm getting this error code 486 now. I did not before. Running under Vista.

I have uninstalled the game, did a clean install running as administrator, installed the v1.04 patch, and still getting the error. Any suggestions?

Also, where are the Panzer Leader and Panzer Blitz scenarios available for download? I had them installed before but didn't keep the original download files. Thanks!

EDIT: I figured this out. The Privilege Level under the Compatibility tab must also be set to "Run this program as an administrator." Runs OK now. Maybe this will help someone else.

EDIT #2: And I found the PL/PB scenarios, from an older post:
You can also find user created scenarios that replicate PB/PL at
http://www.theblitz.org and http://www.wargamer.com in their scenario depots.

All is well again!
