Yep, the file was a little buggy earlier this day - should be fixed now.
As for the brown sea: I agree, some may like it, others not... The plan was to let it look more like "old paper".

You know, after looking at the brown seas for half a PBEM campaign turn, I have to say I am beginning to like it. Both islands and task forces jump at me and are far easier to see (I hav a bit of a problem with the DMP icons on a blue background). Now I can't wait for the ship art to be finished. The brownish, old-looking feel of the whole mod is more comfortable for my eyes, as I need hours to do a turn, and my right eye is not in the best of shapes.

A GREAT mod, pogotorte. Please express my congratulations to the modding team :)

I will! [:)]
I had to laugh: After some of you said that the brown map was... yeah... a little different, I asked the guy who made it, whether the colour could easily be adapted to whatever one likes... Long story short: It's not that easy to change it and the reason why he choosed this brown map was exactly what you sad: "old-school" and "comfortable for the eyes" [8D]
Though, we know, that modding is always a little differant: Some like it, others not. Mostly you can't do a mod that everbody likes. So Riko (he made all this stuff) made the mods so that the overall product fits HIS demands.
So, we hoped that some of you like it (that's what modders work for, I guess) and obviously you do - so everything's fine [:)]
(sorry for my wooden "englisch" [8|])

There was planed to change music and sounds a little, but due to copyright reasons this mod wont be released [:(]
One "mod" is still to come - but that's nothing for you english speaking guys: a translation of the szenario and brieffing textes...

I downloaded the mods and installed them, uninstalled them and re-installed but they are not showing up when I start the game. Is there some way to turn them on?

Never mind. Enlightenment exists when you reveal your stupidity to yourself before anyone else can. In other words, I found my mistake.

Make sure they go to the correct path - C:\MatrixGames\War in the Pacific. Not Program Files x86.

None of the links work. The whole page is filled with SQL errors. Is there anyother way to get these mods?

Mod 6 available on the website [:)]

Pogotorte - I think you mentioned that there might be a sort of retro mod to retranslate the German in the new Interface back to English. Would this be possible ?

Mod #6 contains briefings and scenario describtions translated into german - I'd say: It makes not that much sence for most of you to download it [;)]

As for your question:
No, sorry. Riko meanwhile has other projects going on and has no time left.
Personally I don't even own WitPAE, so I'm nut sure: How many pics have to be retranslated?

As far as I can remember it's only the main screen (Scenario Selection/Game Choices/PBEM) that really needs re-translation otherwise everything else is fine.
