Support for Windows 7 64 bit

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Well my new Win7 rig arrives today if the shipping gods look favorably on me.  So I should have an answer for you some time over the weekend if nobody answers the question before then.

It runs and compiles with no issues on 64 bit. In my case it is win7.

Btw, I have no problem running WITP AE on win7 64bit.

I certainly hope it runs in Win 7 64 bit or else sales will suffer quite a bit. I would be very disappointed if it doesn't.

WitE ALPHA runs OK (I tested it myself) on WinXP SP3 32 bit, Vista SP2 32 bit, Vista SP2 64 bit, Win7 32 bit, Win7 64 bit... no worries at all... [:)]

Games should have no problems running on Win 7 64 bit.

That is what the system is built for, well thats what the salesman told me when I bought my new pc. What he didn't tell me was that my printer a canon would not run on the 64 bit system but only on the 32 bit. No driver available and none intended to be produced. Luckily my Gf had a real good printer.

I only need the printer for important things as Hotkey lists, manuals, small instructions and maps. So I was fortunate.

I am currently using Win7 64 bit - all well and stable.   No hassle to load or play.

I am not encouraged by this thread because people claim WITP and AE run on 64 bit Windows 7 but I never could get them to work.  The map never displayed correctly.  It may be something wrong with my graphics card but all Paradox Games I have run great.

We (testers) told you that WitE runs perfectly on 32 and 64 Windows platforms. Thats is a indisputable fact and state of the things...

Thus all is and was OK and no perspective WitE player / buyer should ever be worried about this at all! [:)]

P.S.
If you, unfortunately, have problems running some titles on your (and I emphasize) your PC that is (again) unfortunate but that has nothing to do with upcoming WitE..
