I need some timing advice...

Post by GBS »

Talking about coordinating attacks with two or more groups. Lets say I am using two infantry BNs and one BN of recon....all are resting a scheduled to awake in 30 mins. I want the recon BN to probe forward to a location through unknown territory. I then want to two BNs to assault (togeather) that same location about one hour later. The two infantry BNs are at different locations with one about 3kms greater distant from the the location than the other. I will be giving orders to three units. What are the keys that I should look at from the following:
command order delay unit
command order delay force
speed of movement using the tool
Remember I want the recon to move out 1 hr ahead and I want to two seperate BNs to assault simultaneously. I just have not been ablt to get this right and am looking for advice on the main things to consider and look for.
I don't really understand the difference between the unit and force delay as a practical matter. Also, if I give a new order to a BN, who's delays do I look at to consider when they will move out, the BN or its superior?
