found my favorite toy in this one.

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

Came across a neat plinker in a rather weak LW unit, a 2cm Flakvierling 38.

too bad I didn't get any use of it in the battle as of yet...but I fired it around just to see what it was up to doing.

Not having COI or WAR I don't know if this is a new weapon or not.

Difficult to imagine a cascade of almost 3/4" dia. bullets whizzing by your head let alone hitting you. [X(] Say bye bye limbs or head. I'd probably be surprised at just how fast I'd be able to move for cover. Once in relative safety I'd like to think I'd have the presence of mind to next figure out a way to take it out and fast. Hoping I don't ever have to find out.

One thing I was pleasantly surprised to see with these fast firing canons is how the rounds walk across their targets instead of one round on top of another.  Yes! I love it!  You guys definitely got that one right!
