Southern China is quite, I'm moving more troops in to make Wenchow fall then push those forces back to the main line of Chinese forces if possible. Still waiting on more troops of the 21st Army before I launch the western offensive.

Finally the Solomon Islands. Little is going on since I pulled out of Port Moresby a few days ago. I'm slowly driving down the island chain. Shortlands is going to be receiving a Air HQ to cover landings and Guadalcanal. Which I'm going to put a air base and const. crews there in the next week. I'm also finishing taking all the little dot bases in the tip of the peninsula. After my base on Guadal is finished I will launch a full scale offensive to take New Caledonia with elements 14th Army and units of the SW fleet. I'll follow that operation with a map when its time to launch.

On a side note, I've been very lazy about my AAR lately [:(] Just in one of those down periods with the game, but I plan on renewing my efforts! [8D]

I believe I had a intel leak. He had a decent sub screen going and I just now encountered mines that must have been laid by sub. With the 144th gutted I decided to with draw and save my forces before any main allied CV shows up, I don't know if KB Bravo is up to tackling 2 or more CV's.

Both Ace and I have been terribly busy but finial have gotten back to the game [:)]

Here is the latest news. Ace is being very cagey with the AVG doing a textbook perfect hit and run against my bombers and escorts. I have yet to trap him in a fighter sweep but I will continue to try. [:@] A amphibious end around in Java paid off by trapping at least a 1/4 of his strength before they could fall back to Batiava [:'(]

Again I must apologize for my lack of AAR activity lately. RL events with my family have slowed me down and drained me of any ambition for the game. Ace and I will push on though. [;)] I'm a bit behind the times and will try to fill in some details in the next couple days.

I'm curious as to two things:

1. What front line trace are you looking to reach and stabilise at? Will you keep pushing until you can push no more or will you hit a line and then dig in irrespective?

2. Wirraway Ace seems cagey and capable ( no surprise there, I'd be amazed if he wasn't ).... DO you have any other insights into his play? I'm asking that for selfish reasons as I'm considering possibly challenging him to a game down the road, if I continue playing AE.

Last question: The post at the top of this page has 10,800 on it. Is that the CHinese AV in a single hex or is it a typo? If it is the AV in a single hex then OUCH!!!! That's going to be almost impossible to stop ( unless he runs out of supply... might I suggest a strategic bombing offensive? ).
John Dillworth: "I had GreyJoy check my spelling and he said it was fine."
Well, that's that settled then.

Operation Jade Hawk

Post by CarnageINC »

Hi Nemo, for your first question you will find that answer in the middle of the first page, Cap and Gown asked the same.
For the second, I don't have a lot to offer you, Ace is capable of some surprising moves. His carrier raid in central Pacific totally threw me off. He tried to reinforce Palembang but I think I stopped most of what could of gone in there. He handles his air units rather well, the AVG are very cagey and I have yet to give them a nose bleed.
The last question is not of AV but of troop numbers [;)]

Here is my latest operation to expand my empire; Operation Jade Hawk. This is a move on the New Caledonia Islands. I want to establish a airbase on Luganville for Betty support before going after the big island to the southwest.
