Fulda Gap 85- Great OOB, pretty good map, terrible combat engine. It worked well for WWII, but to loose three tanks in three hours of combat
Decisive Action- Good engine, wish it had an actual OOB with equip, didn't handle terrain well. I know it's based on how the army classifies terrain, but sometimes the 'army way' doesn't transfer well to the digital world. I think a system more familiar to gamers with different types of terrain would have been better.
TOAW II- Good overall game, sometimes the scenerios were lacking. If a scenerio was done well, like my Red Thrust 89 (shameless plug) was very enjoyable. I wish Norm still had the rights to this one.
Steel Beasts- What? I know it's a sim but it's an outstanding game that should give anyone intersted in modern combat an idea about the deadliness and speed at which warfare now takes place. Lacks helos which I think would have been important in any war in Germany.
Tac Ops, BCT: I only played the demo of these games, and while they seem like they have potential, I just didn't ever get into them. There's only so many hours in a day.
Anyways...coming soon my ideal WWIII game
