Modding Question

Post by oldman45 »

I want to add some of the LST's that were converted to repair type ships. The question is, is it the type of ship that determins if it can do repairs? There is a pull down menu that lists all the different ship types. So for my LST conversions I would pick the AG/AGP for the ship type? Is there anything else I have to do for it to work?

Yes, "Type" determines what the ship class can do.
If you want to create an AGP, select type 42 on the pull-down menu; for an AG, select type 43.

If you want your LSTs to be able to convert to your new ship class, you will need to select a bind value for the new class and your LST class.

Example:

Allowing LSTs to convert to AGPs

 1) Select slot 2688. (LST Type-II)
 2) Choose a bind value number. (Must be a 3-digit number, check to make sure it is not already being used; to see existing bind value numbers, click "Refresh Convert To/From Binds")
 3) Enter the bind value number. (On right side of screen, in empty box)
 4) Check box labeled "Convert From Class".
 5) Go to slot 2674. (Portunus-class AGP)
 6) Enter the bind value number.
 7) Check box labeled "Convert To Class".
 8) Enter a number for "Conversion Delay".

You can now convert your LSTs to Portunus-class AGPs.

To convert LSTs to a new class, follow the steps above, substituting the new class in step 5.

Hope this helps.
