23rd Air Flotilla assets have strike Broome AF. This morning 53 G4M1 escorted by 20 A6M2 have smashed enemy AF. 4 P-40 were met at CAP. 1 P-40 was downed at dogfighting with 1 Hudson destroyed at ground.

Our pilots reported 15 enemy casualties, 41 runway hits, 13 airbase hits and 4 airbase supply hits.

Enemy airfield out of combat!.

SUBJECT: AIR RAID OVER NORTHERN AUSTRALIA TARGETS.
DATE: MARCH 6th, 1942


At early morning, 24 A6M2 escorting 53 B5N2 and 41 D3A1 take off from our 1st and 2nd CARDIVs to strike enemy facilities at Darwin. 13 P-40 were met on CAP over Darwin. 1 A6M2 was downed in dogfight with 1 B5N2 and 1 D3A1 downed by enemy Flak. 1 enemy P-40 was downed by A2A.

Our pilots reported 1 aribase hit, 1 airbase supply hit, 12 runway hits, 1 port hit and 2 port fuel hits.

Recon flight from Koepang reported another enemy Submarine in Port (!).

CARDIV 5 flight complement strike Katherine AF. 22 A6M2 from HIJMS SHOKAKU & HIJMS ZUIKAKU escorting 59 B5N2 and 35 D3A1 smashed enemy AF reporting 16 casualties, 3 airbase hits, 13 airbase supply hits and 47 runway hits. 5 Wirraways were destroyed at ground. We lost 2 B5N2 and 1 D3A1 by enemy Flak.

xAK IRON KNIGHT was torpedoed and sunk after two torpedo hits by I-8 near Brisbane.

(2) ASW Warfare

DD YUGIRI have reported 11 near misses/hits on enemy dutch oceanic submarine near Kalidjati. No confirmed sunk.

A Porpoise class submarine is reported hit by F1M2 ASW flight from HIJMS MIZUHO near Makassar (Celebes)

DD MISHICHIO & DD OCHIO reported 3 hits on a british submarine near Merak when screening BatDiv2

(3) Enemy submarine activities

An Argonaut class minelayer submarine have been spotted off Shortlands. Orders have been dispatched to MINERON2 at Rabaul to departure at once heading Shortland Is.

In spite enemy air supperiority flights over our advanced guard forces, I have ordered a massive strike against enemy advanced AF at Mandalay with all my available assets at Rangoon.

59 Ki-43 Hayabusa escorting 24 Ki-21 and 18 Ki-48 take off from Rangoon´s AFs. 9 enemy flying pirates on H81A3 with 9 british Hurricanes were met at CAP over MANDALAY skies.

2 Ki-43 were downed by A2A. Enemy lost 2 H81A3 flying pirates and 1 Hurricane in A2A combat.

Our Level bomber pilots reported 4 airbase hits, 3 airbase supply hits and 31 runway hits.

Recon flight from Magwe reported moderate damage on enemy airfield.

Over Chiang Mari 3 Hudson III were intercepted by 6 Ki-43 on CAP. 1 enemy LB was downed.

Two air raids had taken off from Ichang AF.

(1) 30 IJA fighters escortign 26 IJA bombers reported 17 runway hits and 1 airbase supply hits pluys 2 airbase hits. No enemy CAP. Recon flights reported no aircrafts on airfields.

(2) 29 IJA fighters escorting 6 Ki-48 reported another 2 airbase hits and 2 runway hits.

Total air supperiority over Chungking air space have been accomplished. Our mission against enemy population will be done without enemy resistance.

Northern China Area Army forces have smashed enemy rearguard today. Our forces reported 1.454 enemy casualties. Our tanks have marching at double to pursue enemy fleeing forces !!.

Our casualties were 725 men.

MY own HQ have reached the first line and all Northern Area Army and Ist Army are gathered to push on over Sian !!

Follow up with our campaign against enemy military facilities in Northern Australia.
This morning our Koku Sentai 1 and Koku Sentai 2 aircrafts have taken off from KAGA, AKAGI, SORYU and HIRYU to strike Port Darwin facilities and Resources factories.

29 A6M2 escorting 89 D3A1 and 74 B5N2 dogfighted with 11 P-40E on CAP over enemy city. 4 enemy fighters were downed in A2A combats.

Our level bombers reported following damages on Port Darwin:

- AM COLAC, 1 bomb hit, SUNK.
- xAKL BORDVIK, 2 bomb hits, severely damages, on heavy fires.

- 14 Resource Hits (17 enemy factories damages reported by our Recon Flights)

- 4 Airbase hits, 1 Airbase Supply hits and 43 Runway hits reported (42% damages on AF)

- 2 Port Hits reported (42% damages report in the last update by our Recon Flights over P.Moresby)

No air losses over enemy target reported.

Following your instructions, my aircrafts at¡board ZUIKAKU & SHOKAKU have strike enemy airfield at Katherine.

In Morning air strike, 20 A6M2 escorting 28 D3A1 and 28 B5N2 met with 3 P-39 fighter bombers at CAP. 1 enemy FB was downed. Our pilots reported 1 airbase hit, 2 airbase supply hits and 12 runway hits.

In Afternoon air strike, 20 A6M2 escorting 25 B5N2 from HIJMS ZUIKAKU strike Katherine AF reporting 2 airbase hits and 9 runway hits.

We lost 1 B5N2 in the second raid over Katherine.

Tomorrow we will rendezvous with main body KIDO BUTAI.

SUBJECT: SIAN ROAD BATTLE
DATE: MARCH 7th, 1942

I am proud to annouce a new Imperial victory on China theatre !
Our forces have smashed enemy rearguard 80 miles southeast of Sian. 7.415 enemy losses were reported in our last shock attack against enemy fleeing forces. 2.307 IJA casualties were reported. Our last attack under heavy close air support from ICHANG IJAAF AIR DETACHMENT. 39 IJA bombers escorted by 29 IJA fighters met with 8 enemy fighters on CAP (3 chinese I-15 soviet-built and 5 flying pirates on H81A3s). 3 enemy fighters were downed by our pilots (2 chinese, 1 american). Our air assets reported 47 casualties from 59th Chinese Corps.

One enemy Corps were completely destroyed. In the casualties list appears 795 enemy sqds.

In a coordinate air attack from Rangoon and Chiang Mai AFs, our 3rd Air Div assets have strike enemy AF at Mandalay.

In the first strike, 82 Ki-43 escorting 65 IJA Bombers met with 6 H81A3 and 5 Hurricanes at CAP. 2 Ki-43 and 1 H81 were downed (probably 2). 5 airbase hits and 7 runway hits reported.

In the second strike, 2 Ki-43 escortign 17 Ki-48 met with 3 H81A3 on CAP. 1 Ki-48 was downed by enemy Flak. 11 runway hits were reported.

In few days absolute air supperiority over Eastern Burma will be accomplished!

3rd day of consecutive air attacks over Northern Australian facilities. This time Darwin is our only target. 17 A6M2 escorted 114 B5N2 and 115 D3A1 bombing Port Darwin. 1 B5N2 was downed by enemy flak. No enemy CAP.

1 enemy Flying Fortress was reported destroyed at ground.

Our LB pilots reported 1 airbase hit, 1 airbase supply hit and 84 runway hits.

No ships spotted at port but several fighters and bombers sighted at AF.

2nd King Own YLI Bn was stroke by 30 IJA bombers flying from Rangoon. 5 enemy casualties were reported there.
57 Hayabusa fighters escorting 59 IJA LB dogfighted with 2 H81A3 and 6 Hurricanes at CAP over Mandalay skies. 3 Ki-43 and 2 Hurricanes were downed in A2A combats. 15 runway hits were reported by our LB pilots.
In a second strike, 33 unescorted LB strike Mandalay AF. No enemy on CAP. Another 9 hits were reported on AF.

Our Detacched forces at China reported another strike against enemy capital city. Two consecutive strikes against enemy population were reported. In the first one 28 IJA level bombers escroted by 29 figthers reported 18 manpower hits with 9.686 fires. In the second another 15 LB escorted by 29 figthers reported another 8 manpower hits with 7.899 fires.

Malaya enemy resistance have been eliminated. 8th Indian Brigade, 2nd Argylls Bn and 5th F.Arty Regiments surrender to 55th Infantry Regiment near Kuantan !.

Art was provided by Dixie, ...years agoo !!, when I played Vanilla WITP, i don´t know if he continues with Art works.. I looked at Google images for my favourite ship (HMS Devonshire), downloaded and email him. He got a great art picture!

xAK HO KIANG was torpedoed this early morning by I-155 near Koggala (Ceylan) by I-155. Enemy freighter was sunk.

One enemy "T" Class submarine was identified near Shortland Island. Few days ago a Argonaut class minelayer submarine was spotted there.

Only one enemy submarine spotted into our Homeland waters, 80 nm southeast of Yokohama.

DATE: MARCH 9th, 1942

Fourth day of consecutive strikes against enemy military and civilian facilities in the Northern Coast of Australia.

22 A6M2 escorting 58 D3A1 and 58 B5N2 from AKAGI, KAGA and HIRYU to strike Darwin AF. 1 P-40 was destroyed at groun, 4 airbase hits and 22 runway hits were reported.

15 A6M2 escorting 64 D3A1 and 55 B5N2 taken off from SORYU, SHOKAKU and ZUIKAKU to strike Katherine AF. 2 B5N2 and 1 D3A1 were downed by enemy intensive Flak. 19 enemy casualties, 1 Wirraway FB destroyed at ground and 3 airbase, 4 airbase supply and 65 runway hits. AF is nearby to complete destroyed.

23rd AIR FLOTILLA is supporting us from Koepang. Today they smashed Broome AF. 21 A6M2 escorting 52 G4M1 strike Broome reporting 1 Hudson I destroyed at ground and 2 airbase, 3 airbase supply and 76 runway hits.

Tomorrow we will follow with our air ops in this area (56% MS available)
