While thinking of what project to attack next i started on a variant of the Campaign game that starts in May 1941 (Operation Brevity Campaign start) instead of September 1940.

This is mainly for the lazy player who wants to jump right in with german fun and dont want to play the italian tank in a tin can period. Also the campaign starts with the somewhat difficult to recreate in gameplay situation where Tobruk is held by the Allies and laid sieg to by the Axis forces.

Here is a nice Screenshot of the situation around Tobruk at the start of the Campaign. Nice and coozy.

Notice the somewhat historical Armoured equipment.

Nice and cosy? Looks like an awful tough nut to crack.

"Notice the somewhat historical Armoured equipment..." Oh you know us, we love things like that.
I remember from SteelPanthers ( I think) that you could click on a tank/plane/whatever and a popup would appear with all the historical and technical data. Maybe something like that would be nice in AT2 as well... [&:]

Josh. Actually i have just started my second testgame. I am the allies and i already think Tobruk is pretty much unholdable. To be on the defense in AT is very difficult.

Actually its only the armour that is semihistorical with a couple of tanks, armoured cars etc. So its not that historical but its at least a little something.

The first testgame is finished with more or less historic result. The italians took a part of Egypt and then got massachered. But it was fun. Sandstorms occured much to frequent though. So they have been made more rare.

Played a little with the scenarios yesterday and created rules for the 10th Armato Bordello (its in the boardgame). Its a unique SFt that gives a small offensive bonus to all units that "visited the hex" at the start of the round.

And no, i do not in any way condone prostitution.

Ok, now that's an intersting twist on the AT game engine. But were there really 10 or more such 'units' ?

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

I dont know how many units there were, but the name comes from the fact that its serving the 10th Army.

And i would never have included the unit except for the fact that the boardgame that has inspired the scenario includes the unit. But still, its a little bit fun.

I am looking forward to playing this scenario.

I noticed the 4th NZ Bde, also known as the 1st Echelon, is missing from the order of arrival,
The 1st Echelon was sent overseas on 6 January 1940 and arrived in Egypt on 15 February 1940.

Lazyboy. You can play Grazianis offensive if you want, its ready and downloadable from this link.
http://web.comhem.se/olvmyr3/

The other scenarios are also more or less ready (bughuntin) and can be gotten through my homepage. So far there are
Grazianis offensive
Grand Campaign (different lengths) and
Grand Campaign - Operation Brevity (starts in may 1941).

And yes the 4th NZ Bde (2nd Division) is in the game. Its situated in Maaten Bagush at the start of the game.

I am quite busy with work right now, but in the little spare time i have  am experimenting a little with custom graphics for different scenarios

Screenshot shows the following changed graphics
- Road
- Trail
- Urban
- Rocky plains
- Escarpment

Unfortunatly i am having some problems with the Rocky plains pictures. They have a pink (transparent background) and somehow its fucking things up and causes some sort of graphical errors when playing/editing (the "aimcircel" stays and is copied even when i target a new hex).

Thanks. They are conversions of TOAW graphics. Ill upload them to this thread tonight. The one problem i have with them is that they are very 2dimensional.

The road and trail graphics are geat for the desert. Well done.

How does your escarpment work? Usually is good to fight across from on top and bad to fight across from below....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Bartheart. To be honest maybe i havent paid enough attention to how it works to fight through an escarpment. I have just given it some negative attackmodifications either way.

Have attached the urban graphics.

The one problem i have with them is that they are very 2dimensional.

That's not a problem at all.

Many thanks!

In TOAW only alpine infantry can cross escarpments but that probably isn't the case in AT?
