Medals? Anyway to tell what you're awarded

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

Medals? Anyway to tell what you're awarded

Post by JFalk68 »

Hi,

I have been playing a few scenarios and my guys are starting to receive medals, is there any way to tell what type of medal it is? I saw a new one today and I assumed it was for doing a really good job.

Looking at the Germans it looks like they have a medal for being wounded.

Thanks!

Hey JFalk68. Neil Nello created those medals. I'll see if he'd be interested in creating a reference chart for those of us who aren't familiar with all of them. Good suggestion.

No problem. He said he'll see what he can put together. If it's a small enough of a file (suspect it will be) we'll upload it here and add it to the support folder for one of the updates.

They did..it was an updated verison of the WWI wound badge, and came in three grades. Black Silver and Gold..depending on how many times one was wounded in their military career. I think the only changes between the WWI and WWII tooling of the badge is the WWII added the National Socialist insignia to the helmet.

My granddad got the wound badges in black and silver for his service 1938-1945. wounded by air-attack, artillerie and rifle-fire on the eastern front and in west.
