Artillery question for you

How do i disable the feature that makes artillery out of contact. Most of my units are OOC for the entire game. NOt the small mortars but big artillery units and aircraft. somebody help.

There's a button on the Preferences screen called "Unit Comm" or something similar. That should put them in contact more often, but I don't think there's any way to get OB artillery in contact 100% of the time.

Just like in real life, you can't count on your artillery to respond instantly, all the time. Sometimes your artillery is getting a fire order for another unit that is in greater need, or they are moving to a new location so they don't get counter-battery fire, or maybe there is some radio problem...etc.

Do your artillery units and FO's have both radios and high experience? These play a large role in being out of contact.
