Well, aggressive wars tend to be launched on a not-completely-thought-through long-term plan.

Made more so by the complications of race, colonialism, differing ideologies and timing.

History? Complicated? There you go with that liberal bs again, Nik. [:D]

Interesting use of an otherwise bland part of speech, Per. [:D]

Have fun. [:)]

Why don't we create a "conspiracy theory" thread? We can put them all in one place? And the participants can high jack from each other. It would also be much easier to avoid.

I used to have a web page bookmarked that was a massive collection of conspiracy theories. One advantage of the web for such people was that they could combine their theories with those of others in order to obtain "buy-ins". That created some doozies such as a conspiracy involving the masons, the British royal family, space aliens that Bill Clinton was hiding inside a mountain in New Mexico and perhaps some black helicopters as well. Unfortunately I have forgotten what they were conspiring to do, but I'm sure I should be terrified.

I remember that one! I had a young rabble rouser who worked for me who insisted that he dominate was supposed to be training (this was in the USN) about conspiracy theories and despite every attempt to get the training back on subject, he'd go right back to them. When he mentioned this particular attempt at world domination , I casually mentioned that I was affiliated with one of these groups, (go ahead and guess, but I'm not a alien, space or other, and theirs nothing noble or royal about me) and I hadn't gotten the memo. The ensuing laughter shut him down (for that day anyhow). And damned if he didn't report me to NCIS for "conspiring against the government and the constitution![:D]
