Invade you blighters!

I've noticed with the ai when they attack planets they always seem to storm in and land their troops straight away, before the defences have even been defeated.
They're able to take over planets and all the defences with just their troops. Suddenly defence batteries become theirs.

Just how do you get your ships to do this?
Mine always seem to float around the planet trying to take out all the defence batteries before they drop their troops.

in the design panel make shure you troop transports are set to "invade immediately"

Thats the only way? A new design and new ships?
hmm...a bit of bad design there. Hope they fix it in a future patch.

It doesn't require a new design. Just look in the top left corner of the design screen there is an option for invasion that can be changed without having to create a new design. All ships already built will change their orders.

Exactly what Igard said,found this out through trial and error myself.
