Manual ?

Post by Johnus »

Is there a PDF manual, or does it employ one of those in game "help" things ? Will there be a demo ?

There are in-game tips flashed as your play.
There is a link that directs you to a PDF manual for reading and download.
It's only 15 pages long.

In the install directory there's a link to the manual.
It will open your browser / PDF reader and download from slitherine website.
You can save it if you want.

The in-game tutorials and the intuitive gameplay mean that a longer manual is unnecessary in this case.

Is it possible for MG to post that link so we can get a better idea of how the game works?

It ain't much and hardly explains anything.

I know, I know, be specific, don't just complain.

It doesn't explain things like tactical movement. Armor seems to do better moving to contact, than it does if you sit there and wait for the sucker to come to you. I can't seem to figure out what the best strategies are because I'm not really sure what is going on. Manual is vague in a lot of areas.

There is that better? [;)]

Here is a manual addition that I have posted. Additional hotkeys - tips - design notes - links to helpful threads

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19482

I keep it updated as new things come along.

Well I'm bad, I bought direct from Slitherine, silly silly boy, you can't register your game if you buy it from Slitherine.

Last time I buy any game direct from Slitherine that Matrix is offering.

I don't know why you picked this thread to post that in.

I think it will get worked out. Matrix/Slitherine are one company now and both use Plimus. I suspect that both registers will be combined at some point for all the games.

You can register it on the Slitherine site though - and can then recover your serial from My Page (from the site main page when logged in).

As stated, we are in the process of trying to unify it all, but it's definitely not simple!
