Micro management

Have just started trying to playing CIV 4. There seems to be a lot of micro managing involved.

In Battlefield Academy and other war games is there a lot of the above mentioned.

I'm sure I'll live through it but I'm just curious.

Compared to CIV 4 I would say there's no micro management in Battlefield Academy. My feelings.
