award for art

Post by Duck Doc »

Well, I am on my second scenario in the 1st campaign. I have not been challenged but it is early yet & I think they are going easy on me. [:D]

I am impressed with the game but I am blown away by the art work. Great job. It really sets the mood. I know how much work it is & it is very well done. For someone of my age it really resonates.

The in-game tool tips are very functional. I haven't had to work at all to learn the game.

Great job. [&o] No regrets at all. If you are on the fence jump in!

(Obtw, how do I know what version I am running?)

When you start the game look at the upper left of the splash screen.

Between comments here and over at the Wargamer, I'll probably be draggin' out the credit card in the morning (and gettin' off the fence)...

Wow - if I was impressed with the art for the Western Desert - that for Normandy just blows me away.

Right from the first map scroll of the first scenario. The water effects of the flooded areas are almost photo-realistic.

Well done for addding unlimited map zoom-out. Kudos to this game's artists.

The game is simply beautiful. Now, I have a weakness for comic-book style military art (too many Sgt Rock comics I think when I was young) but the overall art direction--consistency, tone, clarity of communication, palette, everything--is very well done.
