miscellany

1) What does hunt mean exactly (dumb question time)?

2) What benefits does promotion give to units?

3) Love the cry of, "Blood." It sounds exactly like the cry heard in the Close Combat series.

4) I assume the red, down triangles indicate threats (immediate)?

5) What do the chevrons that appear over a unit indicate?

6) Really need left-handy view controls.

7) How do you save a game in progress if at all?

8) Any way to turn just the music off?

1 - reduced chance to be seen, reduced firing penalties for moving
2 - it varies by unit
3 - We use a lot of CC sounds, as they are already pretty much realistic
4 - they indicate that the target is in range for an action (usually fire)
5 - levels of promotion
6 - it's on out todo list :)
7 - Hit ESC. You only need to do this in battle, as the game autosaves progress once you complete a mission
8 - You should be able to turn the volume to zero?

Cheers

Esc gives you the save screen and the music and sound effects sliders.

j2d, thanks.

Ok, how do I delete a saved game file. I poked around in the BA folder but can't find my saved games.

I know I am a fanboy but I am almost done with the desert campaign (not too much time for gaming these days) BUT it has been the best gaming I can remember. When you have me spitting epithets on the monitor & when my shoulders & neck are tight after playing I know I am really deep into some great gaming experience. It is a gem & an instant classic. If anyone is on the fence do yourself a big favor & jump in. Multiplayer is going to be a blast.

I've found some saves in the

c:\Users\<WinLoginName>\MyDocuments\MyGames\BBCBA

folder. I'm guessing those are it.

ESC gets me to my save screen but not to the volume & music sliders but I found those on accident in the editor section once. I can't find the sliders again. Hmm...

My saves file are not in /mydocuments/mygames/BBCBA that I can find. Hmm...

Saves are stored in My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\Saves

The ESC key should definitely bring up the options for sound, music, etc at the bottom of the screen. Are you not seeing this?

Cheers
