AAR: Pason#2 CHANNEL ENGAGEMENT

Post by iriyak »

Hi,

This weekend I enjoyed the scen (Pason#2 in HUD3 1.3.21) with H3ANW3940 for three times, meeting the victory conditions to sink more than 4 vessels within 36 hours! Thanks for the scen, it was a great fun. [8D]

It was very quiet in the sea although we found surface contacts. Launching my first missile after detecting/localizing the hostile vessels triggered exchanging a number of missiles each other in the next few minutes. At first I couldn't realize what was happening over my tactical screen where messages are scrolling and staff keeps reporting, but now I was able to understand vessels responded according to their initially assigned mission with a formation editor. During this time period there was nothing I could do but see the screen what was going on. Few minutes later I tried to engage manually for each target and managed to do that.

I guess one of my improvement point might be the helo. In a certain range of AAW threat axis I tried to assign PZ for 5 helos, but I was not sure if this mission was effective to localize the hostile vessels to be honest. The second one is to understand a range of missiles. Hostile vessels are close in range to our vessels, but I wasn't so sure when we could engage and launch the missile. Tried clicking F1 and hit the vessel for many times just to find "no range."

Best Regards,

Thank you very much for playing it. If the scenarios of this battleset do help to improve your tactical abilities they achieved what they were built for.

Best Regards,
Ralf

Then...on you go with Pason 3 - "Mixed Doubles". The logical next step: coordinate ships and subs.

Another sharp and fast one. [:)]
