1.80 ETA?

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

1.80 ETA?

Post by borsook79 »

I know that the dev team is very busy with the new game coming, and I do not want to rush you, but I remember reading some time ago that 1.80 is in the works. Is there any ETA date? More or less of course :)

Any chance that air losses will be fractional along the lines of ground units? My current game using the Luftwaffe aggressively in Poland turn 1 had 10 of 11 air strikes result in a loss, turn 2 had 5 of 6 result in a loss. I've lost 17.21 strength points, but of those having 16 be air seems excessive.

I agree air losses are excessive unless the enemy has fighters. Historically flack was not a great factor even later in the war. Most losses were from other aircraft.

Someone suggested that the air units attack be similar to the bombardment of a hex. Where for one turn only it reduces the defensive strength against attack. This I think combined with less loss by air units due to ground defenses would be best.

Hi,

Is there a time line set for ETA? Or did it already come out and I missed it?

Thanks in advance.

Only 11 days until ToW is a year old.

You think they might be planning a surprise party?

I vote for the cake where the dancing girl jumps out, all covered in strawberry icing and holding a stein of beer in each hand. Oh yes (and 1.8)

Forgive us this delay but lots of events is taking place simultaneously. We are only a small developer.... But when we have a possibility to take a breath....

SoP is vastly different then ToW. Less then 15% of the code is the same, I mean completely untouched or only slightly modified. So the goal of the patch is to cure a few remaining issues.

I don't want to make too much promises, but if nothing new occurs, we should be ready for beta next week.
