Newbie questions

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Is the Battle of Britian in this game very different from Talonsoft's?

Foot, try looking at some of the AAR's about the BoB's, it may be easier for you to tell what you are looking for there

lots of bugs fixed, lot more targets, units, planes, game and rules are the same for both sides of the game  (the BoBs and BTR use the same engine now)

much improved pilot data base

and what nots

Do you remember the game 'Europe Ablaze'? On that game you could set the German bombers to fly harrasment missions against the British airfields. These missions would only compose between 3-5 bomber attacks during the day. The idea was to get the British pilots's readiness and fatigue to drop and the Germans would only fly if they were bright-eyed and bushy tailed. In the fist game by Talonsoft BoB, I had alot of problems with British 'balloons' also. The AAR reports are very helpful and almost remind me of AE. [8D]

Joe

Europe ablaze - I still have this game and the floppy disc is still working on my C-128 :D
Harrasment raids are not in the game, but BoB/BtR offer many more options than good old Europe Ablaze.
