sent back to Tokyo

Post by ckwfelix »

How can I send a damaged ship back to Tokyp for repairing?

I played the MO Scenario, and got my CVs damaged. They were repaired very slowly at Truk (only 1 to 2 sys damage points in a month), but I can't send them back to Tokyo.

Thanks for help!

You can only send your ships back on the long campaigns - in the shorter scenarios you are stuck.

You can send a ship back from Truk (Japan) or Noumea (Allied) only. Make sure the ship is NOT in a TF (disband it), then click on the ship in the port screen. At the bottom of the ship detail, you'll see an option "return to Japan/Pearl." That's it.

As Thantis mentioned, repairs still take a while. So, if you're playing a short scen, you probably won't see the ship again (depending on damage). You can see the results by checking the Ship Availability screen in the info area -- it'll tell you the number of "days until in Tokyo/Pearl" (ie, how long it's laid up). If a longer scenario, you'll probably see it again (depending on how well you're doing).

Also, before sending them home, make sure all fires and flotation damage are repaired. You'll save time in the long run.
