Guerrillas Event

Post by shunwick »

Don't know how to explain this better, sorry.

If you have a Turn 1 Guerrillas 2 event and side 1 is the first player then the Guerrillas effect does not turn up until the side 2 part of the first turn. So the first turn the first player sees Guerrillas is turn 2.

If that all makes sense, I assume this is a consequence of splitting the turn calculations and effects. In the scenario I have it is not a problem since I can simply have side 2 have the first turn and keep them passive but it did confuse me a bit.

All I wanted to ask was if this was intended behaviour?

Best wishes,
Steve

I thought P1 was always the first player. Is there a way to allow P2 to move first?

I don't remember ever having this experience in any of my games. Is this behaviour new to version 3.4 ?

I'm curious too. Good question.

Can you email me a copy of the scenario?

Ralph,

Sent. You need to turn No Borders off to see the effect.

Best wishes,
Steve

Steve,
Yes, that's the intended behavior, Guerilla conversion of hexes takes place at the start of the side's turn, so Player 2 will have the hexes converted and will then have the opportunity to move. I don't remember if there was a concious decision to work that way, but that's the way it's coded.
