Multiplayer PBEM

Post by jjdenver »

Hi,

If anyone fancies putting together a multiplayer game of the France scenario I'd be in for it. I don't have a ton of time but playing just part of a side in multiplayer PBEM sounds manageable.

cheers

I'm in.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

I'd say we wait for 1 more to have 2 players per side? Barthheart what do you think? You've got more experience w/ the game than I do. What's the right number for multiplayer France scenario?

4 is a good number:

OKH + Army Group A
Army Group B

Vs.

France + BEF
Belgium + Holland.

Although Holland can be out fast, that's the order they are played in.
If the Allied team doesn't mind a few more emails then maybe:

France + Holland

BEF + Belgium

I see. The second allied setup seems like more fun for the allied players so I'd go for it probably even though it might mean a few more emails. Or even:
France
Holland + Belgium + BEF

Yes that works too. France is a lot of work all by itself.

Ok that sounds good. If we find a 4th player we'll start it up.

I'll join you guys if you still need a 4th.  I've played through the Holland scenario a few times to get used to the game, but am certainly no expert.

I'm happy to play either side, and agree with jjdenver that the second allied setup suggested by Barthheart seems best.

Ok great.

I'd prefer to use sides of:
1) France
2) Holland+Belgium+BEF
3) OKH + Army Group A
4) Army Group B

Can the rest of you weigh in on whether that is ok or whether you'd vote for:
1) France+Holland
2) Belgium+BEF
3) OKH + Army Group A
4) Army Group B

My vote is for the first sides list.

Once that is out of the way we can pick sides. Assuming we use first sides list my order of preference would be:
1) France
2) OKH + Army Group A
3) Holland+Belgium+BEF
4) Army Group B

Can the rest of you pls weigh in on which list of sides you'd prefer to use and then your preference for which side you'd play? Thx

Hey JJ,

I'm with you on the sides and I'd like to play Holland+Belgium+BEF

Ok we are set then.

jjdenver: France
Barthheart: Holland+Belgium+BEF
Malediction: OKH + Army Group A
dougb: Army Group B

Here's a note from Barth about how we get started:
The player doing OKH+Amry Group A starts.

He'll have to make sure he chooses the 3 German player option. OKH is a spearate player but reall has little to do and no troops but can reassign stuff from one command to another.

So he'll start as OKH then end that turn and start Army Group A's turn then save and send to AGB.
Who passes to France
Who passes to Bef+Belgium+Holland
etc.

So this means that Malediction can kick off the game.

Also - very important - everyone PM me their email addresses and I'll send an email out to everyone.

I should be able to get to my turn this evening, though I'm working late, so probably not till around 9 or 10PM EST.

Best of luck all!
