Editing Manuever Value

Post by traskott »

Ok, so...I have added one plane with the editor, set manuever value=14 (i.e.) and left the slots related with altitude empty. When I go into the game the value which appear is zero.

The game will use then the "default" value or the airplane will be a truly "air brick".

Thank you in advance.

What class airframe did you make? what are the specifics. Non fighters do not have altitude range settings, so if that is the case, it is appropritate

It was a fighter. I set manouver to 26, left 0 at all ranges but one (+31k) which set to 17 ( whatever)

Then, in the editor on the Aircraft screen, pull up the new airframe. to the right of Maneuver, there is a box for the altittude ratings. you need to poulate all settings and select a service rating. Otherwise, I think she will be that brick.

Using witploadae with the .csv files can greatly speed up these types of edits.

You already have it in all likelihood, in your AE / Scenario folder...look for that name.

Requires higher applications programming IQ - not for the unititiated, especially if you make a keystrike error and have to trace the problem. Keep a good record of what you execute and you should be fine.

Uhhh...Looks like it will be faster by hand, and with less risk of data loss. Thanks for the info :)
