Reinforcements

Post by dazoline II »

In a scenario does a player know when and where his reinforcements are coming on to a map? If it does when does the game tell the player, when they buy the units or when they place them or when the scenario starts?

Thanks.

When you buy units and have the unit hightlighted in the unit selection box you will see all the data concerning that unit before you buy it.

In the upper right hand corner of purchase screen you will find the unit availability information.

In the case of this ISU-122S(JSU-122S) it shows it's experience level, when it is available to the gamer. In this case it's available with an 80% chance of coming in on turn 7.

Looking down at the Tac map in the lower middle of the display will show you where on the map the unit will be when it's placed on the map for play. In this case it's in the middle of the map on the east edge. Entering on the road.

Good Hunting.

Thanks.

What determines a reinforcement from an immediate deployment when playing a random battle?
And what determines when they arrive in a random battle as well?

I'm sure the scenario designer has control over this in designed battles.

Other info on this screen

Post by Eagle Strike »

What is the screen in the lower left side of your attachment? Does it have a function or is it just "eye candy"? The way it's laid out and the info on the screen it looks like a list of exterior locations on the tank before battle... no damage.

Does this show the location of the hits or damage done to the tank? It looks like it should be but I didn't see this screen change when I played PCK. I just guessed it was "eye candy". Too bad if it is because it would sure be great if this tracked damage taken during battle.
Thx,

Those are the armour stats for the unit selected.

Much more than eye candy -- by looking at this screen you see the armor thickness for both front side and rear. You can access this in-game and see at what range your weapon is likely to be able to penetrate, or if your weapon is only effective with a flank shot. You can also check your own armor to see how close you can 'probably' get before you oppenents weapons can penetrate your armor.

these values wont change over the course of the scenario.

Thanks
