Rules query re Informal Peace

Post by wasko123 »

Does any one know whether it's possible to make informal peace and then ally with the same major power within the same Dip phase? Doesn't seem to work in a test solo game vs the computer but what about a PBEM game?

Yeah, doesn't look like this should be a problem so it's probably just another bug (peace comes before alliances in the Dip Phase)....

...what is the "can't ally" status? For instance, were you previously allied to this MP? How long ago was that broken?

4.5.3: Major powers that broke an earlier alliance may not re-ally until at least twelve months after the date of breaking the earlier alliance (keep written records of when alliances are broken).

This would not work today. Not sure if we could add this later??? Need to look at diplomatic resolution to see...
Thank you
