I use gamer's gate, and the 1.70 hotfix installer doesn't recognize the gamer's gate serial. What files are in the hotfix, and can someone zip them up and send them or post them for download somewhere? I hate to play without the hotfix, doesn't that correct the problem rolling 6s?

PS And, Olivier, maybe you can do one of your splendid AAR:s if GW promise not to look. [:)]

Where is the definitive explanation of the original ETO, which I assume is still the basis for ETO II? Is the original explanation in this mod forum for ETO I the place to go? Or is the mod explained somewhere else?

I can't say there is a definite explanation. The scenario has evolved constantly from the first version to the present. In fact, the roots was back in Road to Victory and many aspects was imported to Time of Wrath. My very first explanation of "ETO" was in the beginning of this thread:

Version I

I would advice some caution reading the old rules. You might pick up things there and inadvertenly apply it to ETO II.

When I begin to write down the rules you can now see on HQ, I removed things either not important or liable to cause confusion.

Anything in particular you're wondering about?

Everything. The ETO II notes seem to imply that they were merely the changes for ETOII. I was thinking I needed to review what came before.

the very first PBM but I got a little problem when I try to launch the scenario.
I did put the unitsskin and mapskin folders in the gfx folder, the event file in the events folder and the ETO II TEST folder in the scenarios'folder.
I get this:

Not good. [:D]

I will try to see if there's something that we others have, since we have played each others before, but that is not present in your files.

You are running 1.70 with that hotfix?

Can you also mail me the ConsoleOut located in the WW2 Time of Wrath folder. It has to be a file taken immediataly after a crash.

By the way, are you in France or the USA?

Lovely. No, I didn't waste any time in vain. Everytime you try to fix something you'll learn something new.

Good you're on.

The only rule I don't approve of is allowing minors to send any amount of pps to other countries. Should be restricted just as for majors. The whole emphasis of the mod is on realism and historicity, so allowing such wholesale transfers seems out of character with the rest of the mod.

i just red the rules again. About pps, and regarding Great britain, it seems that all of the Canada, middle east and India PP's are part of the "british" pps but have to get to great britain by sea. Which minor countrys should keep most of his pps ? For my part, Belgium, Netherlands for exemple will spend all their pps for himselfs when at war...
ok, I play and email you the file.
