I had a terrible dream last night. I was standing on my lawn looking for a shotgun........

Your daughter was late home?

Was I dreaming your reality? [:'(]

She's actually very good about getting home on time.

This Friday though we have the 17th birthday party. Alcohol is banned on pain of instant disembowelling of everyone attending. And their pets. And their siblings. And, God help me, she went out and bought this "cute" (read small) skirt to wear for it.

Don't they make chairs there?

Or maybe they should have put a 37mm gun in some of these?

Is it too late to get her an overprotective, clingy and antisocial Doberman? [:D]

I suspect so. I think daughters are God's revenge on sailors.

Awww, man...

I just smile resting assuredly with the foreknowledge that *my* daughter will never engage in any such behavior when she's older.

Similarly, she will have perfect taste in her boyfriends-which she can start dating when she's 21. She should have graduated from medical school by then and be in the midst of her appointment hearings for the post of the US Surgeon General. After a brief stint there, she will have a change of career and become a Lieutenant General of the USMC.

She's only 3 now, but we've got this whole thing stitched up a treat already.

But what about your plans? Don't they take precedence? Surely hers can wait for a bit until she's faithfully executed your codified plans?

Are we back to talking about the BU (Boyfriend unit) now?

I'd like to put in a recommendation for a pump shotgun. Sure: break-action-style barrels or a semi-automatic format are quite functional in their own right. But nothing quite loosens the teenage boy bladder like a pump shotgun being racked whilest dad is standing in his slippers on the lawn at 1am. This tends to expedite the 'goodnight' process and assure minimal physical intimacy at that point between BU and darling daughter.

If a MORE expedited departure is required, paternal clothing (whilest standing on the lawn racking a pump shotgun in one's slippers) is optional. Check your local ordinances re: the feasibility of this adjunct step.

There's a new BU on the horizon. Apparently he's not asked her out yet but is going to. I tell you it's like a bunch of 12 year olds.

re: the feasibility of this adjunct step.

I believe that in the Uk public nudity is not an offence per se, it must be designed to cause alarm or distress.

So long as he stays on the visual horizon, I guess that's OK. That's probably out of range for most shot shells.

I can imagine no possible scenario where naked fathers with pump shotguns would not cause alarm and distress in great quantities......[:'(]

Seeing you naked is probably enough to cause both [X(]
