Season Option

Post by tiredoftryingnames »

I just purchased the game. I downloaded the 1.20 patch and played the tutorial. Went to try out random scenario and used seasons. It said each season would have so many turns and then it would repeat. What happened was after all 4 seasons it declared a victor. I looked around and didn't see a post about it but saw the hotfixes mentioned. Downloaded and installed the hotfix for 1.23 and tried again. It went through the 8 turns of summer and declared a victor. Tried it without seasons and it is still going after 20+ turns without ending prematurely.

Could be a lot of things at work there. Victory conditions in random games are tied to city ownership, so you may have had a small "world" and a quickly expanding AI in the other games and a large world with slow AI in the 20+ turns game. Maybe ?

BTW, welcome to the AT forums, check out Zaratoughda's random game mod in the scenario bank. Loads of fun.

I thought it might be something else I was missing. I did 3 times and the last time I used a 75 by 75 map with 4 sides and it ended at the same point all 3 times. Right after the last season change.

I'll check that out. thanks

I can't say I've had the same experience. I'm playing a game with seaons right now and we're going on 100 turns. Can't think of much to help you out and sorry for that.
