EA is well known for abusing its workers. Blizzard has a great reputation as an employer from what I have heard and read...

If you have good eyes and instincts you can even see this from games companies make. I'm not fan of Blizzard, but everytime I happen to play their games the love for gaming can be felt from the game. I think this is true with pretty much every classic game.

Indeed.. (teal'c voice).
Just look at the Need For Speed games. Enough said. That franchize has switched development teams more times than fabio switched condoms.
And each of them did a shitty job on it, as if they didnt care, just pump out a quick dirty version for the poor 6 year old kids who think the cover looks cool and dont know any better.

Don't forget MW2, Call of Dutys and others.

That's the gaming world we live in. Heck, almost everytime I browse the games at my local Supermarket some kid comes with his father and/or mother and convinces them to buy him some K16 or K18 game because "it's just so cool" and "my friends play it also" and don't forget "I can play this with my friends over the internetz". I've been inches away to interfere to this and give the parents a lesson in age restrictions.
Then again, I believe people should learn from some mistakes by themselves.

Speaking of EA, back in 2003 when I worked for Comp USA in Playa Vista, Ca, EA has just opened a new office building right next to the new homes. It was a nice multi story glass building complete with a fitness gym, out door soccer field and volley ball net.

I would see some of the employees outside using those fields. They also struck a deal with Comp USA, to have us come over and install a JBL Home Theater System complimentary of EA for an employee who relocated to apartments right across the street from their building there.

Maybe this was in response to all the negative criticism they were receiving for the employee relations or lack there of.

I'm sure you've heard the saying about "closing the barn doors after all the horses are gone already". That's what that reminds me of. I'm pretty sure that EA has probably tried to address it's problems. The really sad truth is that even if they have truly got their act together it will take a long time to repair their reputation. Also, pumping out let down games is not going to help. I'm not talking about talent either...I'm sure there are extremely talented people their....they just lost their Je ne sais quoi ( that something special ).
