torps miss and a near miss for the sub... these vessels just don´t carry enough dept charges... but I won´t dedicate DDs for ASW duty off the West Coast, just not worth it as I can´t really see the success of the IJN subs in the area... being that far from their homeports, I´m glad if the enemy sends more of them... 99% of my convoys are escorted anyway, with important convoys having a really heavy escort so if the subs get a succesful shot at a major target then it´s probably pure luck...

I was stupid enough to keep my fighters here and even increased the Cap to 60%... result were more fighters in the air, but also more being shot down today... and this by the undergunned but ongoing diving Oscars... would we speak about Tojos in this engagement instead of Oscars, our losses would have been twice as high... the Oscar really lacks gun power to down my fighters but nevertheless took down nearly 20 of our fighters for probably a dozen Oscars lost... and who scored 90% of the kills against the Oscars at 38.500ft? yeah, the Thuds that got the dive from 42.000ft... without the Thunderbolts, the result would have been 20:2 or 20:3 for the Oscars... funny, isn´t it? Two of the P-47 pilots became aces today...

and the Japanese sweeps don´t look different with some fighters getting lost 98% of the time... this should be looked at too because it seems just off... also here, the high flying Oscars get the dive and achieve quite a nice result, considering we´re talking about 4 Japs vs. 62 Allied (of which an unknown number engaged)...
