"Waiting For Stalingrad"

Post by Gunhawk »

A parody of "you know what" play by Samuel Beckett

Estragon: Charming game. Inspiring prospects. Let's go.

Vladimir: We can't.

Estragon: Why not?

Vladimir: We're waiting for "Stalingrad".

Estragon: You're sure it was here?

Vladimir: Well, it used to be at "Lock N' Load" Forum, but it might be at Consimworld, or some other forum. We are playing "Wack-A-Mole". It might be dead.

Estragon: It should be here.

Vladimir: He didn't say for sure that it'd come.

Estragon: And if it doesn't come?

Vladimir: We'll come back tomorrow.

Estragon: And then the day after tomorrow.

Vladimir: Possibly.

Estragon: And so on.

Vladimir: The point is-

Estragon: Until it comes.

Vladimir: Youre merciless.

Ironically, we could be waiting for something that will never come. Just like those poor German soldiers waiting on the Volga for help that never came...
