I have pretty much decided to make FoG my next Matrix purchase, was wondering if there are any leaders in FoG.

Yes lots - every army has 1-4 of them of varying quality. Also allows for allied contigents who must be controlled by their own leader. Morale and control is very dependent on leaders being close by so good use of them is vital.
