I've asked Dave and Paul to take a look at this when they get a chance. We have a few other things to adress fro the next patch as well, I'm just not sure what the timing is.
In the meantime, try detaching individual companies with exit commands, ignore stragglers, and make sure all elements of the HQ that are attached are present in the exit circle.
It seems to me that the exit function has a problem when the unit is already in the exit location- it goes back to defend, and the units don't exit, or only exit sometimes.
What is supposed to happen is that a force group exits from the bottom up. Eg. If a Bde is exiting then the Bde HQ will not exit till all its subordinates have exited. Similarly its subordinate Bn HQs won't exit till all their subordinate companies and platoons have exited. So check to see if any subordeinate is out of fuel, resting or reorging.
Sorry for the delay getting to this one. I just took a look at your saved game. It's D6, 1800 - ie end of the scenario. I can't test with this. I need a saved game with time still on the clock.
Arjuna,
I think Franklin Nimitz has nailed the problem: the inconvenience seems to occur when you give a Defend order within the Exit radius, and then an Exit order.
This time I have difficulties with the exit location. It is the "Spearhead v. Reich" scenario.
KG Recke won't exit towards Erezee. They are in that position around the exit location already for several hours.
I hope one more save game will help to solve that problem or just give me a hint what went wrong with my troops wich were ordered to exit.
