a good way to get the best of a long ranged titan is to get out of los on a side of a hill or something and see if the guy is stupid enough to walk over the hill and if he is and you end up being 1 or 2 hexes away its gonna be kinda hard for even a recon to get away very quick
"Jumpjets out of fuel? ........Oh crap...." (last words of my whitefirefox jock :p)

Yeah, but lets face it. It would have taken a masterful player like Hetzer to beat me after I severely lucked out with the team placements.
Cyavhn got screwed, and I was ridiculously lucky...just my luck that I was so lucky that it means I can't claim to have won this game though skill :p

If you've ever read the diskworld, you could imagine bad luck as being the complete absense of good luck.
I reckon I've gone right out the other side to being un-lucky :p

Won against Tek-69 twice
1st game: standard small map, both of us had stock 1.4 titans (heavys)
I had a titan with 2 PG and 2 ML's. Tek-69 had 2 Hvy Mesons and 2 AC 12's.
I headed for a medium hill with trees and had just climbed a small hill when saw Tek-69. Fired a PG at him and set his hex's woods on fire.
While he muttered, I finished climbing the medium hill, faced him and waited. He jumped out of the hex and I pegged him a couple of times while he was in the air. He dropped out of site, but reappeared on the plain trying to close with me. He finally mad it to some trees.
I followed standard Hetzer procedures, sacrificed a small mammal (no, I won't tell what kind it was, and yes, it does matter), fired and his engine exploded. He had gotten my head to red, 11 internal points of armor left and my jock down to 1/3 health.
Game 2, same type map, he had a stock Headhunter and I had one of his titans, a Toaster (2 NM14, 2 NM7 and 2 Flame Throwers, ECM, and shield)
I was lucky and got a green scan of him in the early part of the game as I headed to a medium hill with trees. Set his hex's woods on fire several times, hit him in the air as he tried to jump up onto a big hill. He finally set my woods on fire too, and I had to jump quick. Took out his RT, then finally his LL which ended the game. He couldn't fire much due to all the heat from my NM's and woods on fire. I only had a yellow leg.
Over all, both good games. I would have faired much worse if we had had each other's titan.

Was just getting ready to go beddy-bye when Tek-69 Rudely Burst into my arena and started throwing PBs in my direction
Fortunately I have discovered that "if you hit something often enough it will fall down" (Hetzer's 3rd Rule).
Luckily I was able to abrade His PunchDrunk(2PBs/2BRGs/3srm4s) before it could close with my BallBreaker (5LRM6s/2PBs and all Millenia armor)(whadya want?......it fires really, really fast) :p

Hetzer
Dueled Natural Chaos last night I had a Thug (3/AC12/2LL) and he had a DeathDealer (2PBs/2Teslas). Fortunately for me he tried to make it a game of maneuver. Natural Chaos, if you have an energy titan in Polar sublety probably isn't necessary. On the other hand your head looks wonderful on my mantle :p
Hetzer
Redueled Natural Chaos on Sun. Again my Thug vs his energy mech. A Mojlnir this time. Was waaaaaay to close for comfort. My pilot got shock damage three times and was bleeding once. Natural Chaos's pilot even got burned. We wound up duking it out in the middle of a river. Again, my theory that "if you hit something often enough it will fall down" was proved out. 4 AC12 shots to his head made his pilot go bye, bye.
Natural Chaos, I have but one message for you............"Stop, Getting Better, Damit" :p

Heh, you wish. I WILL have my revenge! As for that first match, I wasn't trying to make it a game of maneuvers, I was trying to get in close enough to use my two Tesla's. Unfortunately for me the full force of the Thug's weaponry was able to bang at me the whole time.
Ah well, it'll be my turn soon enough... >:)
