3.4 191 Alpha

Post by ralphtricky »

I'm hoping we will get the patch out in the next couple of weeks at worst, so if you haven't installed 178 Alpha, you may want to wait.

If you have installed 178 and want to install 191 and give feedback, great, I appreciate it!

*instructions*
This is unofficial, don't contact Matrix support, either post in the support forum or email me if you have questions.

This is for the people having issues with the 3.4 Beta Patch. Even if you install, you should install any later 3.4 Beta or Production patches.

Please only install it if you know what you're doing, or are willing to spend time on the support forums so someone can walk you through it.

I'm going to put up a zip file containing many of the files that should be in 3.4.

To apply, make sure first that you have a running installation patched up to 3.4.173, or a running installation of 3.0 or 3.2 that you patched to 3.4 in the same directory and couldn't run. Then unzip these files and copy them over top of the existing files. You may want to rename or copy the existing files first.

This is a straight zip, no installation, no uninstall, etc.

The patch is at

That's what I did and it's running okie dokie. Thanks Ralph, by the way. I didn't feel I had any use for the "slower" versions and ignored them and the font.ini file needed to be edited so that all the "use Windows font" lines were changed from "Y" to "N". Personal preference there so you don't HAVE to do that should you not want to.

It fixed my laptop resolution problem of not using all of 1366x768. Now it looks wonderful! The map tooltip popups also look great. Thank you very much for all of your hard work. [&o]

Now back to the alpha patch... [:)]

In that case it'll be corrected and become v192[:D]
